Dynamic Opposites: Freedom to Flight with Cathy Madeo and Ellen Mosko
This 75 minute Master Class focused on the hips is designed to take your hips into freedom and then flight. Ellen Mosko will start with a yin practice, followed by a Master Class with Cathy Madeo. You'll explore how bringing more passive opening to your body can offer you the freedom you need to actively engage. By using two dynamic but opposite ways to engage, you'll find how you can harness stillness into dynamic movement. Live singing bowls and guitar will be played by Robin Lee. An experience not to be missed!
Fundamentals of Partner and Acro Yoga with Eleonora Zampatti and Brendan Neary
These are the foundations of acro yoga, a fun, empowering and challenging practice that will teach you how strong you really are when you learn how to work together with your acro partner.
In this 2 hour workshop you will learn the essentials and foundational aspects of acro yoga like foot placement, spotting and communication.
We will work on conditioning the body to be able to play with poses like bird, throne and folded leaf.
With the knowledge of these basics poses you will find the confidence necessary to unlock your body ( and mind ) and tap into exciting acro yoga transitions.
Acro yoga can be scary and we are here to teach you how to overcome that fear and discover your full potential ( while having fun ).
No partner needed, just your desire to connect and learn something new about yourself and your yoga practice!
Hard Core, Soft Heart with Bridget Riepl and Vanessa Van Noy
Power. Peace. Confidence. Compassion. Self Awareness. Connection. In this transformative practice, we will make space for it all, within and around ourselves.
True strength comes from the core, the power center of our being. A strong physical core supports our lower backs, organs, and spine, allowing us to stand up straight and focus ahead with poise and confidence. A strong core will also support us emotionally, encouraging us to be strong and centered - no matter what we face.
Love flows from a “soft heart” - the root of our yogic connection to ourselves, the earth, and all living beings. Our beating hearts live in bony cages; physical, mental, and emotional stressors cause tightness and restriction. By opening this area through breath, movement, intention, alignment, and a mindful willingness to live with love, our bodies and souls will soften - and transform.
This will be an engaging and dynamic practice, moving you deep from the core with a shared intention of uncovering the truest nature of the heart.
Look, No Hands! with Adell Bridges
This fun and flowing vinyasa class will take you through familiar postures but in an unfamiliar way. Explore the difference that you feel when you move into and out of postures without using your hands to get you there! This class may challenge you, but not in the way you think -- it's about understanding ourselves a little deeper and sometimes that means our egos take a bruising. So that's why we'll laugh and just have fun with it as we move through these variations that will get the whole body moving, opening, and feeling great!
Root Down to Rebound Up with Julie Mellk and Christine Rodek
All levels welcome to join this class that's certain to provide grounding and connectedness- to yourself and all of nature. This accessible practice is specially designed to bring you back into contact with your roots, the earth, and non-separateness. Honoring the the dualities of practice, Christine and Julie will cultivate a powerful experience of strength, stability and wholesomeness. Leave feeling tapped into something larger.
